The dullest transfer window ever?

Ok, so this is a question that’s been posed pretty regularly in the last decade or so. Only in the last couple of seasons have we actually splashed the cash in January.
So why haven’t we this year? So far, we’ve had some random Spanish bloke on a free (Calderon), a Swansea left back on loan [...]

Aston Villa 3 Brighton & Hove Albion 2

Well, that wasn’t so bad was it?
Not going to go into to much detail here, as there will be report and pictures to come. But what I will say is that the team and supporters did us proud today, and that there’s no shame in being beaten by a team including Young, Milner, Sidwell and [...]

Villa Tickets - Part 427

Another day, another revelation about the ticketing situation for the “must see” game of the decade between the Albion and Aston Villa reserves. Yes, following the mad scramble for tickets and the initial panic over the club possibly having sold more tickets than they were allocated, another speedbump has come along in the road just [...]

Forwards!

Well, another away win, and another cracking goal each for Albion strikers Nicky Forster and Glenn Murray.
Funny how it goes really. In August, many fans wanted to see the back of Glenn, myself included. He’d handed in a transfer request, his body language stank, and there was that whole ” deliberately not clapping the fans” [...]

Villa Tickets: SOLD OUT

Albion have sold out their allocation of approximately 6000 tickets for the FA Cup fourth round clash with Aston Villa on January 23rd. Tickets had previously been available to members of the club’s Gold, Blue and White membership schemes.
After some teething problems yesterday, it looks like the final batch were sold this morning.
Now, let’s hope [...]

“Tickets Please!”

Well, it wouldn’t be an Albion versus Premiership opponents clash without the club making some sort of spectacular cock-up in the ticketing department, and they’ve done it again with this one.
Against Spurs and West Ham, the issue wasn’t just that demand outstripped supply, but also that Season Ticket Holders didn’t get priority for tickets.
So now [...]

Time to worry?

Is it too early to be worried about our January Transfer Window deals so far?
We’ve spent a grand sum of £0.00p under Poyet so far. Now, admittedly it’s only a week into a very snowy January, but I’m concerned. We’ve signed a Spanish right back in Inigo Calderon, we’re resigning Hoyte (a right back), and [...]

Happy New Year!

The We are Brighton team would like to wish all our readers (and Moan-In listeners!) a very happy New Year!
The Jock keeper has already been released, let’s hope this is the start of a busy transfer window for the Albion, and a much more successful year on the pitch! After all, things at Falmer are [...]
