Dear Tony Bloom

Please, please, do all that you can to sign Kazenga Lua-Lua, at the very least until the end of the season.

The player is a raw product, but he’s a joy to watch. He has trickery, good movement and genuine pace that the opposition defenders just can’t handle.

Yes, he needs to work on match fitness. Yes, he needs to work in his end product. But if he had both of those in abundance, would he really be playing in League One?

If the aim of being in the Championship when the new Falmer stadium opens is to be delivered, then the combination of Elliott Bennett and Lua-Lua down both wings would surely go a fair way to making it happen.*

*Unless, of course, Lua-Lua adopts that unfortunate curse of the Brighton loan signing, and his performances gradually worsen the longer his stay goes on. Hopefully though, it’s not going to come to that.
