…just as we predicted on WeAreBrighton.com 24 hours before kick off.
To be honest, it was a dire game. There was little in the way of goal mouth action, and there were few talking points after all the pre-match hype other than the two goals.
It was two penalties decided the game. Both looked soft if we’re [...]

Another magical result for Brighton and Hove Albion fans as Gus Poyet’s Seagulls clipped the wings of the Magpies to send Newcastle United and Alan Pardew crashing out of the F.A Cup.
The only goal of the game came as a result of a shot from Will Buckley that slipped past goalkeeper Tim Krul after taking [...]

“and Will Buckley fires home a late winner for Brighton & Hove Albion!”
It’s got a nice ring to it hasn’t it? For the third time this season, Buckley snatched the points at the death. However, unlike the victory over Nottingham Forest (and arguably the Amex opener against Doncaster!) this was a thoroughly deserved result, and [...]

…just.
A superb Ashley Barnes header levelled the scores after Wrexham totally dominated the majority of the match.
Let’s be honest here - we were bloody fortunate to get a win. Over 180 minutes, Wrexham looked like Championship opponents. At times, they made us look poor. And their fans are a credit to their club.
We’re not going [...]

What a great win yesterday. Two absolutely fantastic goals, and the total DOMINATION of Bristol City. Oh, and throw in the fact that victory takes us above Palace, and it’s not a bad Saturday!!
2 injuries took the shine off it, but fortunately they don’t appear to be too bad. Craig Mackail-Smith suffered an awful black [...]

IF anyone needed reminding of what it’s like back in The Football League, then for the 2,000 travelling Reds at the Amex - it was the wonderful day we experienced with our friends from the south coast.
While the stadium might be a little isolated next to the A27 and in between two universities right on [...]

Think this game is quite easy to summarise.
Referee? Disgraceful.
Burnley? Woeful.
9 men Albion? Terrific.
Crowd? Incredible.
Brighton fans are rarely louder than when they are up against 12 men, and we were all in fine form yesterday. Great noise, as the following youtube video highlights. It also gives a good insight into our opinions on the ref…
There’s [...]

A good trip to Middlesbrough, spoilt only by 90 minutes of football. We weren’t really at the races going forward - we defended well but created very little (sound familiar?)
What’s the problem? Well, yesterday it was horribly obvious we were missing Dicker’s range of passing in the middle. All 3 wingers (LuaLua, Buckley and Noone) [...]

19 games gone. Just goal difference between us and the play-offs. 3 wins in 4. Above Palace (for the moment at least). Sounds good, doesn’t it? Funny what a difference a couple of wins can make. Who wouldn’t have taken this at the beginning of the season, let alone a few weeks ago when it [...]
