WeAreBrighton.com Fantasy Championship 2011/12 - Quarter One Update

The first quarter of the Championship season is over and a smug Nigel Adkins could quite rightly say that no-one is keeping up with Southampton so far this season as they lead the league by five points. Steve McClaren has already departed Nottingham Forest and, as predicted, the league looks wide open again with any team being able to beat anyone else.

In our fantasy league, we have a mammoth 107 entries so far and it's still not too late to take part if you are not involved - scroll down to the bottom of the page for how to join. Arthur Hill currently leads the way with Kazenga <3 with 156 points closely followed by Foxleigh Rovers 2nd XI managed by Neil Patrick who are just two points off the top. Geoff Morley and his Goldstone Town side are in third place on 146 points while the next three teams are all locked on 143, namely westies 11 managed by David West, super seagulls managed by Shaun Packham and the wonderfully named Peter brezovan managed by Liam Hollister.

Last season's Premier League runner up Mark Hudson is struggling somewhat to get to grips with the Championship as his Hudson Bay Hakas sit on 74 points in 92nd place in the table, while Diedre Barlow managed by Rob Lloyd, brighton lads managed by Tom Gregory and Ben Cribb's team Seagulls currently occupy the bottom spots, with the gap from last to first standing at 120 points

With 34 games still to play though and in a league where seemingly anything can happen, there is still all to play for as we look to crown our first WeAreBrighton Fantasy Championship Champion!

If you are not yet registered, then here's what you need to do.

Step One : Sign up via http://fantasy.football-league.co.uk/

Step Two:
Choose your eleven players spending no more than 10 million, using either a 5-3-2 formation or a 4-4-2. You cannot pick more than three players from one team, so no just selecting the Seagulls starting XI!

Step Three: Choose your team name and select which side you support

Step Four : Select the "Private Leagues" link from the right of the page, then scroll down to "Join existing leagues" and enter 6043 into the League Pin box. Click "Find league" which will take you to the WeAreBrighton Private League, and then select "Join this League" from the box above the current league table, after which we will accept your application when it comes through
