WeAreBrighton.com Fantasy Championship 2011/12 - The Final Table

He may have less hair than Gordon Greer and look suspiciously like a boiled egg, but that didn't stop Brian McDermott leading Reading back into the Premier League as champions of the Championship.

Southampton and Nigel Adkins found themselves runners up for a second year running as they couldn't keep up with the Royals but secured back-to-back promotions and will be joined in the Premier League by West Ham who returned at the first time of asking.

As for the first ever WeAreBrighton.com Fantasy Championship, the runaway winner was Geoff Morley and his Goldstone Town team who the title by a huge 78 points from Representing Kazenga managed by Daniel Bulbeck. The imaginatively named Petes XI lead by Pete Forrest came in third place, six points ahead of FC Hailsham Hackers who were managed by Chris Gorringe

The Europa League spots were a tight affair with Ben Franklin and Athletic Cat FC finishing in 5th.The sides in 6th, 7th and 8th all accumulated 510 points and were, in order, Foxleigh Rovers 2nd XI, The B Team and zulus on tour managed by Neil Patrick, Tim Brann and Matthew Mills respectively.

At the bottom, Rob Lloyd and his team Diedre Barlow finished 52 points adrift of second from last oi oi sexy managed by Callum Green who were level on 179 points with the team in the final relegation spot, Ginger United lead by Jake Caldecourt.
