facebook group Fantasy Premier League 2011/12 - Halfway Update

The halfway point in the Premier League season has been and gone, and the title race is shaping up to be one of the best in the years. Manchester United remain unbeaten, Manchester City continue to spend in their quest to win the league, Chelsea have faltered and Arsenal are just inconsistent.

Blackpool continue to shock everyone, West Ham have turned into a circus and three of the Midland's teams in Birmingham, Aston Villa and Wolves look like they will be battling it out until the end to avoid the Championship and a possible trip to The Amex next season.

In our fantasy league, Tom Meeres has had a storming second quarter to the season as meeres fc have charged up fourteen places, nearly trebling their points in the process, to open up a 24 point lead over previous leaders Gaffers 11, managed by Austin Bubb. Singapore&HoveAlbion have climbed from fifth into third spot under the astute leadership of Graham Tyler, while Simone Lewis and Pengalicious innit also make the move two places up to take the final Champions League place.

Despite meeres fc meteoric rise to the top, they are still not the most improved team since the first quarter, with Shire Games Seagulls lead by Nick Fisk taking that honour as they climbed a whopping 21 places from 29th to the cusp of European qualification in 8th. The biggest fallers were Hudson Bay Hackers, as Mark Hudson and his men tumbled from second place down into 14th, while the bottom four remain the same as last time around

The big moves both up and down the table prove that anything can happen in a quarter of a season, and there is still plenty of time for your team of overpaid, pampered Premier League stars to bring home glory in the We Are Brighton fantasy league
