Is there a more satisfying result in football than a 1-0 win? Victories by three or four goals are always good, sneaking a roller coaster 4-3 thriller will leave you breathless but what really beats a good old fashioned 1-0?

The strange thing about 1-0 wins is that they tend to be memorable. You wouldn’t think it, given that there is only one goal involved, but most of the team it’s delivered in such a professional manner that it tends to stick in the memory.
