The WAB Friday Quiz #23
Brighton kick off their League Cup campaign on Tuesday night away at League One side Bristol Rovers at the second round stage.
It’s a competition that has provided some brilliant memories down the years for the Seagulls. From knocking out the the newly-crowned richest club in the world Manchester City in 2008 to Alan Mullery’s side’s famous run to the fourth round and a meeting with the might of Derby County in 1976, there have been plenty of highs.
There have also been a number of lows, including countless embarrassments against sides from lower leagues and the second heaviest defeat in Albion history with an 8-0 defeat in the competition in the 1960s.
To get you in the mood for next week’s latest League Cup adventure, this week’s WeAreBrighton.com is 20 questions on the Albion’s past exploits in the competition.
