Don’t know whether you’ve heard, but the January transfer window slams shut today. With its closing comes the end of the annual tradition of four weeks of intense speculation about who Brighton will sign, followed by inevitable disappointment.
At the time of writing, January 2020 had been no different. Seemingly, our only piece of business might be to pay £1 million to Boca Juniors so that we can have our own player back. Even by Brighton’s high standards, you’ve got to admire that sort of cock up.
Luckily, we’ve got a distraction from all that with the 46th edition of the WAB Friday Quiz. This week features 20 questions on January transfer windows from years gone by, which will hopefully provide a timely reminder that Brighton disappointing when it comes to winter signings isn’t a recent phenomenon.
