Brighton remains in Premier league despite frustrating season
There is no doubt that it is a major positive to take away, with Brighton remaining in the Premier league and this would also have been one of the key objectives of the current season.
However, there is also no doubt that it has been a frustrating season throughout, with Brighton dropping endless points in games they have controlled and that has been a consistent trend, so they are now likely going to be looking to strengthen this ahead of next season.
Brighton have just finished outside of the bottom three but clear in regards points, with Fulham, West Brom and Sheffield United really struggling this season and the three deserved sides for relegation.
It has then been fairly close between the other sides at the bottom, that has included the likes of Crystal Palace, Burnley, Newcastle and Southampton.
Next season will be expected to be a similar scenario, so there is no doubt that Brighton will need to improve if they are to again retain their position within the Premier league.
However, what has been clear is that they are playing some very attractive football and controlled games again many sides in the league. On top of this, they have also been a tough team to score against, with only a small number of sides having conceded less goals that the side.
That is why it is fairly surprising they are so far down in the Premier league table but the league high of 13 draws is the clear answer. If Brighton can improve in the attacking area, whilst retaining they strong defence, then they really could be a side to watch for next season, with fans also backing this up with strong support for the side using the latest betting promotions that are available for the ante-post markets.
So, overall, it has been a frustrating season for Brighton but there are still been a number of good results to take away. Two include consecutive 1-0 victories over Tottenham and Liverpool at the start of the year, which again included a period with very limited goals conceded.
The side have also recently held both Everton and Chelsea to 0-0 draws and based on their recent form, it shows these are very positive results to take away.
Fans are now returning to matches, so next season is going to be a completely different one to this season and Brighton have always been a force at home.
Could they be the real surprise package for next season and are certainly a side that could force themselves into the top half, if they can improve the attacking line.
