Key early season results for Brighton as they continue fight against relegation

It was never going to be an easy season for Brighton, as they again looked to maintain their position in the Premier League.

Last season resulted in a fairly positive one, as the side finished down in 15th and seven points outside the relegation places. Brighton finished with 41 points from their 38 matches played, winning nine, drawing 14 and losing 15.

Maintaining their position was the main aim last season and it is again the same story this season, in what is a very competitive Premier league campaign this year, not only at the bottom but over the entire league table.

William Hill promotions on all-promo-codes.com has been popular, with supporters using these to support Brighton to keep their position in the Premier league.

Brighton have had a tough start to the current season but are still pushing outside the relegation spots and have been supported by many punters to again maintain their position in the Premier league.

There have been a number of key early season performances worth noting and they could be a major factor for the side. The first of these has to be the 3-0 away victory against Newcastle.

It was potentially the best performance from the side this season to date, as Newcastle failed to produce a single shot on target at St. James Park.

This shows just how good Brighton were, with Neal Maupay netting an early brace in the opening ten minutes, before Aaron Connolly scored a late third. It was a performance to remember for Brighton.

Another came through a loss when outplaying United in the 3-2 home loss. Brighton produced 18 shots in comparison to United’s seven and also controlled the possession.

It was an impressive display, so when they netted a 95th minute equaliser to make it 2-2 it appeared they had got a deserved point from the match.

However, somehow the match continued until the 100th minute and United got a penalty, with Bruno Fernandes netting the winner. This was a difficult result to take for Brighton, but many positives could be taken from the performance.

Brighton also won 2-1 away at Aston Villa in another impressive display, as Villa continue their very strong season to date. Brighton took their chances and ultimately the points, with Danny Welbeck and Solly March getting on the scoresheet in the victory.

The final match to mention has to be the 1-1 draw at home to champions Liverpool. The latter appear much improved and have pushed back into favourites for the title, but Brighton held them to a draw at the Falmer stadium.

It was an even game of limited chances, with Brighton netting a late 93rd minute penalty, which was watch they deserved from the performance.

There is no doubt it is going to be a tough season ahead but if they can continue to produce performances like the above, then they have a solid chance of again remaining in the Premier league come the end of the campaign.
