The Seagulls: Premier League Predictions
Brighton and Hove Albion fans have experienced some major changes over the last few seasons. Chris Hughton unexpectedly lost his job in 2019. This sparked outrage among the fanbase. However, English manager Graham Potter is now at the helm and is trying to put his stamp on the club. It’s still early days, but the future looks bright.
Most Brighton FC betting sites can see the changes that Potter is trying to implement. The Seagulls were renowned for sitting deep and hitting teams on the counter-attack, but that’s no longer the case. Brighton are starting to play free-flowing football. However, will this be enough to keep them in the division? Let’s find out.
The relegation dogfight
As things stand, Brighton are one point from safety. However, Potter still has plenty of time to turn things around. The Seagulls could pick up plenty of points over the next few months with games against Sheffield United, Bournemouth, and Everton on the horizon. What’s more, Brighton picked up maximum points against Tottenham Hotspur in October.
Nobody is expecting the side to take points from the like of Manchester City or Liverpool, but if they can beat the teams around them, they should collect enough points to stay in the Premier League. Their home form at the Amex will be crucial in the battle for survival. We are backing them to get the job done.
Squad Depth
The Seagulls might not have as much money to spend as some of their Premier League rivals, but they still have a handful of fantastic players in their ranks. Pascal Gross and Lewis Dunk have already proven that they can step up and play in England’s most prestigious league. What’s more, Neal Maupay has grabbed a handful of goals this season.
The Seagulls have already been dumped out of the Carabao Cup, so the FA Cup and Premier League will be Graham Potter’s main focus for the rest of the campaign. For that reason, there shouldn’t be too many changes to the squad. Brighton have a solid starting 11. We think they could break into the top 10 over the next few years.
The Amex
Brighton notched up a 3-0 win against Spurs at the beginning of October. If they can continue beating teams at the Amex, they should maintain their Premier League status this time around. It’s an exciting time for Seagull fans. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this great club.
