Three easy and three hard football bets to win
If you are new to the betting world, you could well be wondering which bets are likely to bring you a return.
These types of bets have low odds (don’t bookmark the Bentley webpage yet) there is a high probability that they will turn up good.
Because of the likelihood of these bets being winners, let’s run through a couple – then look at the hardest bets to win, but have high returns.
What makes for an easy bet?
Easy bets are those that have a high chance of winning, this also means that they will have low odds. In other words, low risk and low reward. For instance, bets with a 50/50 chance of being right may have odds of 2.0.
Easy bets might have odds of 1.05 (for every £1 bet, you get back £0.05 plus your £1 stake if it wins) – this implies a 95% chance it will win. To see this kind of thing ‘live’ take a look at some betting platforms, you can find a selection if you look at this website.
3 of the easiest football bets to win
These are 3 of the easiest bets to win:
1) Double Chance
Double chance allows you to place a bet on two of three possible outcomes for a particular match or game.
These are the possible outcomes for a double chance bet:
- Home or Draw: Either the Home wins or the game ends in a draw
- Draw or Away: Either the Away team wins the game or it ends in a draw
- Home or Away: Someone wins, you bet there will not be a draw
Because double chance allows betting on two possible outcomes, it is more likely to be a winner than if you just bet on a particular team to win
2) Draw no bet
This one lets you bet on a particular team winning their match while protecting yourself from a draw. Translation: If you bet on a team to win, but the game ends in a draw, then the bet is cancelled and the stake refunded.
3) Both teams to score
This is a good bet to make if the two teams are particularly aggressive or there is a rivalry between them such as Manchester United and Manchester City, for example. This type of match is likely to have goals scored from both teams, making this a particularly safe bet.
3 of the hardest football bets to win
As well as some easy bets, there are more than enough hard bets to win as well. These bets do have a higher risk but they also have higher returns too.
1) Correct Score
This is one of the most difficult football bets around. As the name would suggest, this is where you bet on what you think the final score will be.
Because correct score bets are very specific, the outcome is less likely to be correct but the odds are a lot higher. This bet is made harder because there is always a chance the game will end in a draw.
2) Half Time Score
A variation on the correct score bet is the Half Time Score bet. As it sounds, this means betting on what the score will be at halftime. As before, this is a highly specific and unlikely outcome that has high rewards.
3) Odd or Even
Not quite as difficult as the preceding bets, this one is still notoriously difficult. This bet involves speculating on whether the total number of goals in a game will be odd or even. If a game is high-scoring, this bet is even harder to get right.
In conclusion
There are lots of easy bets to make on football, the easiest probably being Double Chance. These bets, as mentioned, do have a very high chance of being winning bets, but they are also low ‘earners’.
The opposite is true too, of course, because the harder the bet the higher the returns. Whatever bet you decide to place, never bet more than you are willing to lose.
