Brighton FPL Gameweek 10: Fati fast showing his talent for Albion

A competitive, narrow defeat at treble winners Manchester City should not deter FPL managers for jumping on Brighton assets like Ansu Fati ahead of an exciting fixture turn.

Following the Albion’s Thursday night Europa League clash with Ajax, Brighton HAVE a run of league outings against Fulham, Everton, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest.

The visit of the Cottagers to the Amex coincides with Gameweek 10, often a popular week for wildcard activations where managers can make unlimited transfers at no cost.

Ansu Fati (£6.5 million)
Whilst Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5 million) remains Brighton’s most selected FPL asset, a couple of other interesting attacking options are beginning to emerge.

The unfortunate news that Solly March (£6.3 million) is set to be injured “for a long time” according to Roberto De Zerbi may result in further opportunities for those on the fringes.

This includes Fati, who has been eased into English football following his deadline day arrival and is therefore still waiting for his first Premier League start.

45 minute and 25 minute cameos at Villa Park and the Etihad Stadium have brought two goals and 10 shots. Brighton may have lost both those games, but scoring away against two opponents with formidable home records chasing a top four finish is impressive from the Spanish international.

Owned by just 0.5 percent of FPL managers, Fati is joint second for big chances amongst Brighton players with four despite playing for just 161 minutes. Imagine what the Barcelona loan man could do in a full match.

Simon Adingra (£5.0 million)
Another Brighton attacker starting to catch to eye is Simon Adingra, whose £5.0 million price tag could represent an incredible bargain.

Only one midfielder from the £5.0 million and under bracket has scored more often Adingra. The winger netted against Luton Town in Gameweek 1 and Liverpool in Gameweek 8 and has started four of the Albion’s last five league matches.

With his strongest position being out on the right, Adingra looks the natural replacement for the luckless March.

Adingra’s appeal is further strengthened by this being a time when FPL managers are looing for cheap enablers, allow them to squeeze in premium assets like Erling Haaland (£14.0 million), Mohamed Salah (£12.8 million) and Son Heung-min (£9.5 milliom).

Captain Fantastic
After grabbing consecutive hauls of at least 15 points, it will be hard to ignore Salah ahead of another tasty home fixture against Nottingham Forest. The Egyptian King remains the FPL’s highest-scorer so fare this season with 75 points in total.

Away from the obvious, there are a couple of lesser-thought-of armband options who have great looking Gameweek 10 fixtures.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (£8.5 million) is at home to Sheffield United, whilst Aston Villa’s talisman Ollie Watkins (£8.3 million) hosts Luton .

Watkins has only blanked once from nine matches, grabbing 34 points from his last two at home – including that hat-trick when Villa hammered Brighton 6-1 last month.
