The League Cup is a much-maligned and often mocked competition but here at WAB Towers, we bloody love the competition as an opportunity to face rarely seen opponents and a chance to see fringe players in action.

Whisper it quietly, but if Brighton took things a little seriously they could even win it, given the disdain much of English football views the League Cup with.

The Albion kick off their latest campaign at Cardiff City on Tuesday night. To get you in the mood, this week’s WAB Friday Quiz features 20 questions on some of the Seagulls’ most memorable moments in the League Cup.
