The Albion are heading to the semi finals of the Emirates FA Cup and we have a pair of Club Wembley tickets to give away to one lucky WAB reader.
Brighton will face Manchester United at the cathedral of football in the final four of the competition, looking for a measure of revenge for what happened in 1983.
The Seagulls were Gary Bailey’s legs away from pulling off one of the biggest ever FA Cup final shocks. Gordon Smith though did not score in the last seconds, the final finished 2-2 and United made the most of their second opportunity by winning the replay 4-0.
Nobody gave Brighton much of a chance back then. It is a different story though in 2023, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side playing the best football and delivering the most famous results in Albion history.
If De Zerbi and his fearless, young Seagulls squad were to defeat United, it would rank as one of the greatest days in Brighton’s 122 year existence.
