An absolute horror show at Upton Park saw Brighton go 3-0 down inside of the opening 11 minutes on their way to a 6-0 defeat against West Ham which all but ended the Seagulls’ hopes of making the top six. Ricardo Vaz Te netted a hat-trick for the Hammers with Kevin Nolan and Carlton Cole also on target. An own goal from Gary Dicker rounded off a miserable day at the office for Gus Poyet and his side.
