Andrew Crofts voted WeAreBrighton.com Player of the Month for October 2013

Andrew Crofts continued his renaissance after a disappointing first season back at Brighton and Hove Albion in 2012-13 by picking up our WeAreBrighton.com October 2012 Player of the Month award.

The former Norwich City midfielder scored 66% of the Albion’s goals in October, netting in the 3-1 defeat to Nottingham “We take Financial Fair Play very seriously” and the second half equaliser in the 1-1 draw at home to Watford.

He’s become one of the first names on the team sheet under Oscar Garcia and chosen a timely moment to do so with Andrea Orlandi out with a long term injury and David Lopez looking nothing like the creative force that he was last season.

The was a shock second place for Keith Hill as he becomes the first non-Albion player to be voted into a top three since our Player of the Month polls began as a result of him faling to spot that Gordon Greer was so far over the line when clearing a shot on goal that he was infact stood in Rottingdean. Hills decision not to award a goal was responsible for us claiming what could be a vital point from a side who will be up there battling for promotion come the end of the season.

Kazenga LuaLua may have managed to play only two games before being struck down by yet another long term injury, but he did enough in those two to take third place in the vote. He was particularly impressive in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, tormenting their back line all evening on and eventually setting up Keith Andrews for the late equaliser.
