Beram Kayal voted WeAreBrighton.com Player of the Month for November 2018

Beram Kayal has had to wait for his opportunity to prove himself in the Premier League but his patience has been rewarded after an excellent November saw him voted our WeAreBrighton.com Player of the Month.

At the start of October, the Israeli international was handed a starting opportunity following Davy Propper’s injury against West Ham United and impressed enough to finish second in the Player of the Month poll behind Maty Ryan last time out.

He’s gone one better this time however, starting all three games against Everton, Cardiff City and Leicester City and impressing enough to secure 33.82% of the vote.

Kayal wasn’t just in good form for the Albion either. He scored a cracking goal in Israel’s unfortunate 3-2 UEFA Nations League defeat to Scotland in the second round of November’s international matches.

Another man who impressed on national team duty finished second to Kayal in the poll. Lewis Dunk received his second call up to the England squad and made his debut for the Three Lions in the 3-0 win over the United States, playing the full 90 minutes.

In Brighton colours, Dunk scored two of the Albion’s three goals in November with headers in the defeats away at Everton and Cardiff from pinpoint Solly March set pieces.

Glenn Murray just about managed to beat Maty Ryan into third spot, ensuring that he has finished in the top three in every month so far this season but has yet to win the prize.

The veteran striker scored his 101st goal for the club to give the Albion the lead at home to Leicester, escaping his marker to send a brilliant flicked header from a corner past the helpless Kasper Schmeichel.
