It has been nearly two months since our last WAB Friday Quiz with two factors encouraging us to sit down and write a return.
The first was that the man, the myth, the legend that is Peter ‘The Cardinal’ Canning collared Mr WAB in the West Stand Lower after the Liverpool victory and asked for the quiz to make a comeback. And you cannot say no when a man with his back catalogue of tales fires in a request.
The second is that FA Cup fever is alive and well across the Sussex region. Liverpool are in town this weekend for the fourth round and, having hammered Jurgen Klopp’s Redmen just a fortnight ago at the Amex, Albion fans fancy their chances of eliminating the holders.
Brighton have a rich FA Cup history with Liverpool, but we cannot tell you when the sides last met in the competition as that would give away one of the answers.
For this week’s WAB Friday Quiz is asking you to name the 20 teams who have knocked Brighton out of the FA Cup since the 2002-03 season.
There are some big names on the list and some not-so-big names; a reminder that the Albion were a League One side not so long ago, and that even when doing well in the Championship and Premier League, they are not adverse to being victims of an upset.
