Tomasz Kuszczak voted WeAreBrighton.com Player of the Month for November 2013

Tomasz Kuszczak showed what a difference having a top class goalkeeper can make inthe Championship as a string of points earning saves throughout November were enough to win him our WeAreBrighton.com Player of the Month award.

He had a solid opening game of the month away at Doncaster Rovers and followed that up with a man-of-the-match performance in the 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers – it’s no exaggeration to say without him, the Albion could easily have lost 4-3 that day at the Amex.

Kuszczak then produced one of the best saves you’ll ever see life to keep out what would have been a Wigan Athletic equaliser in the 1-0 at the DW Stadium and again he had to be at his best to help us claim something from the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth which rounded off the month.

After seeing referee Keith Hill take second place in our October Player of the Month, it was good to see an actual Albion player finish runner up this time with Rohan Ince securing just over a quarter of the vote. It was another impressive month from the youngster with an immense performance in particular in the victory over Blackburn. Nothing tells your more about his recent form than the fact that even with Liam Bridcutt fit, he kept his place in the starting 11 at both Wigan and Bournemouth. Even the prospect of losing Bridcutt in January doesn’t seem that bad, that’s how good Ince has been.

Third spot went to Andrew Crofts who scored yet another vital goal to become joint top scorer so far this season when popping up with the winner away at Wigan, the midfielder being the player who seems to have benefited the most from Oscar Garcia’s arrival in the dugout.
