Brighton gave their worst performance of the Graham Potter era so far as they were deservedly beaten 2-0 by Frank Lampard’s Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Despite the Blues having 17 shots in the first half, the two sides went into half time level at 0-0. Any hopes that the Albion might have snuck a result were ended within five minutes of the restart however when Adam Webster hauled Mason Mount down in the box and Jorginho converted the resulting penalty. Willian added a second 15 minutes before the end.
