Albion Photos: West Ham United 3-3 Brighton, 01/02/20

Photos of the Premier League match between West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium on Saturday February 1st 2020 which ended in a crazy 3-3 draw.

A late revival from the Albion saw them come from 3-1 down with 15 minutes remaining to snatch what could prove to be a precious point from West Ham at the London Stadium.

Some woeful Brighton defending saw the Hammers go into half time 2-0 ahead. Issa Diop took advantage of being left completely unmarked in the box to guide a Robert Snodgrass free kick into the back of the net after Maty Ryan had gone walkabouts.

Snodgrass then crashed in a second when Martin Montoya’s clearing heading only succeeded in going directly up in the air, leaving the West Ham playmaker to fire home via a deflection off Adam Webster.

West Ham then gifted Brighton a way back into the game two minutes after the restart when Lukasz Fabianski punched a corner straight into the face of Angelo Ogbonna and it rebounded in for an own goal.

10 minutes later and the hosts had a third, another Snodgrass volley deflecting past Ryan, this time off Bernardo as he tried to get out of the way of the shot.

Graham Potter turned to his substitutes bench with 20 minutes remaining, throwing on Ezequiel Schelotto and Solly March in a double change which had most Brighton fans questioning their managers sanity.

It worked though. More shambolic defending from West Ham left Pascal Gross to toe poke a one-on-one past Fabianski before Glenn Murray notched his first Premier League goal of the season despite a length VAR check for a possible handball.

West Ham drawing 3-3 with Brighton didn’t go down well with the locals as our photos show, with one particularly homophobic home fan trying to get into the away end to fight the Albion support. Stay classy, you Hammers.
