Albion Photos: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-0 Brighton, 07/03/20

Photos of the Premier League match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton and Hove Albion at Molineux on Saturday March 7th 2020 which ended in a 0-0 draw.

For the second season running, the Albion picked up a valuable point in the battle to avoid relegation with a 0-0 stalemate away at Wolves.

That was about as far as the similarities went though. Whereas Chris Hughton’s side had parked the bus and defended their way to a draw a year ago, Graham Potter’s Brighton went to Molineux, dominated possession and took more shots than their hosts.

Only one of those shots was on target – Davy Propper’s distance effort which resulted in an easy save for Rui Patricio. Wolves themselves only tested Maty Ryan once and it took them until the 75th minute to do so when Raul Jimenez hit an effort which was gathered by Ryan.

The result put something of a dent in Wolves’ hopes of a top five finish, which could secure Champions League football for next season with Manchester City currently banned from playing in the Champions League due to breaking Financial Fair Play rules.

Other than a hard-earned point, the main positive for Brighton from the 0-0 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers was the long awaited debut of Alexis Mac Allister – not that we received many photos of the Albion’s new number 10 for our gallery.

Mac Allister was afforded the final 10 minutes in place of Solly March which wasn’t really enough time to make an impression – not that it has stopped many Albion fans decreeing him as the best thing since sliced bread based on nothing more than a couple of harmless free kicks.
