Albion Photos: Bournemouth 3-1 Brighton, 21/01/20

Photos of the Premier League match between Bournemouth and Brighton and Hove Albion at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday January 21st 2020 which ended in a 3-1 win for the hosts.

The Albion picked up their worst result of the season thanks to some inept defending and a complete lack of effort. Lewis Dunk gave away the first goal for Harry Wilson with a poor clearing header, Pascal Gross scored a ridiculous own goal for Bournemouth’s second after Brighton couldn’t defend a corner and Adam Webster was all over the place for the third which was netted by Callum Wilson.

Aaron Mooy did manage to pull one back late on with an excellent goal, his second in Albion colours and both against Bournemouth.

Home goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale pulled off a string of excellent saves over the course of the 90 minutes, but not even that could paper over the cracks of another disappointing day for Brighton.

Graham Potter in particular came in for significant criticism as he left Glenn Murray on the bench when Brighton needed two goals to haul themselves back into the tie.

As our photos show, Murray’s reaction at the end whereby he clapped the Brighton support for a prolonged period of time suggested that this 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth would be the last time we see him.

And who could blame him for wanting a January move when we have a manager at the helm who has no inclination to use his talents?
