Albion Photos: Everton 1-0 Brighton, 11/01/20
Photos of the Premier League match between Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion at Goodison Park on Saturday January 11th 2020 which ended 1-0 to the Toffees.
A poor first half display from the Albion set them on their way to defeat against Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton on another disappointing day at Goodison Park where Brighton are yet to win a game in any competition.
Richarlison scored the only goal of the game just before half time but it could have been much worse from a Seagulls point of view.
Maty Ryan made five top saves and VAR disallowed both an Everton goal and somehow did not award a penalty after Lewis Dunk had hauled Theo Walcott to the ground in the box.
The Albion improved in the final 20 minutes once Glenn Murray was introduced and he had two decent chances to rescue what would have been an undeserved point, seeing a header well kept out by Jordan Pickford and the lobbing the ball over England’s number one but agonising wide of the post.
Still, at least not everyone had to witness it all – as our photos show, many Brighton fans had restricted view seats for the 1-0 defeat at the historic home of Everton.
