Brighton and Hove Albion Scoring Debuts
Jurgen Locadia marked
his Albion debut with a goal and the hype machine
has gone into overdrive. But is scoring on your
first appearance a good thing? We've put together a
selection of 12 players who netted on their debuts
and went on to have varying success in the stripes. |

Albion Twitter League Table - October 2017
After the raft of
signings made by the Albion over the summer, we've
finally got around to updating the Brighton and Hove
Albion Twitter League table. Five new players enter
the top 10 including the second most followed Albion
player of all time - but who is now number one? |
|
The
Amex Loan Strikers
Chuba Akpom's arrival made him the 10th loan striker
to sign for the Albion in the six seasons since the
Amex opened, making it seem like we are on a quest
to sign every striker to have played professional
football in England. We look back at the good, the
bad and the Obika. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
November 2016
11 months after we
last bothered to produce it, the Albion Twitter
League Table is back. A host of new faces have
entered the chart including three new entrants to
the top five and a new leader. So who is the most
popular Brighton player on Twitter? |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
December 2015
Solly March and Dale
Stephens' impressive performances have seen them
climbing the Twitter League Table while there was
one new entrant for December who came straight into
bottom spot in the pile. But can anybody get close
to league leader Beram Kayal and his 60,000+
followers? |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
October 2015
The huge reshaping of
the squad over the summer saw the Albion lose some
of its most prominent tweeters. We decided it was
high time to update the Twitter League Table with
six new arrivals to The Amex completing the top 18. |
|
Never go back - Which players should the Albion
re-sign?
Brighton and Hove Albion seemed to have been linked
to re-signing every player who has worn the stripes
in the last 10 years this summer. So we've put
together a list of the top 20 that we feel could
make a real difference to the Albion on their
returns for 2015/16. Free of charge to you, Mr
Hughton. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
April 2015
Beram Kayal remains
atop of the Albion's Twitter League Table with only
one new entrant - that of loan signing from
Middlesbrough Mustapha Carayol. There's been little
movement elsewhere, despite the best efforts of the
#BlameStockdale campaign. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
January 2015
Nathan Jones' spell in
caretaker charge not only enhanced his reputation
among Albion fans and the footballin public, but it
also got him a big surge in Twitter followers. And
with loan players departing all over the shop, there
is also a new number one at the top of the pile. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
November 2014
He may have managed
just one game in his loan spell, but Ali Al-Habsi's
contribution to #bhafc on Twitter cannot be
overstated. With seven times the amount of followers
of any other Albion player, he has grown the brand
massively on social media as our latest league table
shows. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
October 2014
The summer may have
done bugger all to improve the Albion squad on the
pitch, but it's been brilliant for the social media
side of things with the top four in the Twitter
Table all having arrived in the transfer window
including the clubs most popular Tweeter EVER! |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
February 2014
The Twitter League
table was decimated during the January transfer
window with no less than three of the top seven
departing the club. Only one new signing puts his
name into the mix with Dale Stephens entering in the
middle and four development squad players to pad
things out a bit. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table -
December 2013
David Lopez and Craig
Mackail-Smith have long been the established top two
when it comes to the Albion Twitter League. Until
now that is as one man, recently arrived on loan,
has well and truly inserted himself into the battle
for the top places. |
|
Albion Twitter League Table - August 2013
With a summer of drama
seeing new management and new signings, we decided
it was about time to update the Brighton and Hove
Albion Twitter League table. And there is one man
absolutely romping away with the most followers -
double his nearest rival and 18,000 more than The
Amex holds. |
|
Gus Poyet - The Striker Files
For a man who is constantly bemoaning his lack of
new striker and budget, Gus Poyet has done
pretty well to spend over £3m on ten centre forwards
since arriving at the club just under three years
ago. We take a look at the full list of Poyet's
striker signings and how they have got on in the
stripes. |
|
The
30 Withdean Goalkeepers
Tomasz Kusczcak's signing makes it five
goalkeepers in two seasons at The Amex. This is
nothing compared to the 30 who were named in match
day squads during our 12 seasons at Withdean
however. Here's the definitive guide to every one of
them - the good, the bad and the Petterson. |
|
Songs for the Squad
Despite
being top of the table, a number of this summers new
arrivals are still yet to have their own songs. After
our shambolic efforts in creating something for Gus
Poyet, we've come out with some more cringe worthy
pop conversions for some of the Albion's new recruits. |
|
Song
for Gus
He's
been in the job for just over three months now and
despite masterminding a turn around of sorts, especially
away from home, Gus Poyet is still without his own
terrace anthem. WeAreBrighton.com attempt to rectify
this gross injustice.
