Join the WAB Fantasy Premier League Mini League 2022-23

When WAB first launched back in 2009, we set up a Fantasy Premier League Mini League. It ran for a couple of years with a keen amount of interest until the end of the 2012-13 season, when we had completely forgotten about it.

Seemingly, it has kept going unnoticed for the past nine seasons. Until now. This season, we are intending to bring WAB FPL back with bells on.

What does this actually mean? Well, presuming we do not lose interest in FPL after two weeks in traditional fashion, the intention is to offer:

• Monthly or weekly reports from the WAB FPL Mini-League
• Some sort of End of Season prizes (may or may not be a bag of Starburst)
• Possible Manager of the Month prizes (may or may not be a photo of Mark McGhee)
• Anything else that players think would be good fun within a budget of about a £5 a month

60 teams are already signed up just from previous players renewing their spot in the Mini League we never knew existed, so there should be a healthy amount of competition.

Will you prove yourself a Graham Potter leading your team to a league position higher than ever before, whilst doing the occasional batshit thing like a man whose smoked one too many herbs?

Maybe you will piss off the powers that be at WAB to the point we decide to pretend you never existed, like a certain Gus Poyet He Who Must Not Be Named.

Will your players just need a hug like Micky Adams’ did after losing to Huddersfield Town? Or will you experience by far the worst night you have ever had, as Russell Slade did when the Albion lost 7-1 away at Huddersfield?

And someone will obviously ended up having a Sami Hyypia, who was shit against every team rather than just Huddersfield.

Having been lured in by those tales of woe from Brighton managerial past, you are now no doubt wondering how to join the WAB FPL Mini League.

If you were previously a participant (even if you did not know about it, like over here at WAB Towers) then you should be able to automatically renew your sport.

For brand new players, head to the League & Cups sections of either the Official Premier League Fantasy website or app. From there, select Join an Invitational League & Cup.
