With the Albion facing the prospect of two games in 48 festive hours, Graham Potter rested some key players for the Boxing Day trip to Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.

Despite the weakened look of the Seagulls side, they gave last season’s beaten Champions League finalists a real run for their money before succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.

Adam Webster had given the Albion a half time lead but second half goals from England duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli ensured that the three points remained with Spurs at their magnificent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
