Albion Photos: Brighton 3-2 Everton, 26/10/19

Photos of the Premier League match between Brighton and Everton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday October 26th 2019.

Graham Potter’s side picked up a fortuitous three points via a 3-2 win thanks to a goalkeeping error, VAR awarding a soft penalty and an unfortunate last minute own goal from Everton captain Lucas Digne.

Pascal Gross’ free kick gave Brighton the lead inside of 15 minutes with the ball going straight through the Everton wall and Jordan Pickford.

An Adam Webster own goal levelled things up shortly after with Dominic Calvert-Lewin putting the Toffees ahead for the first time with just 15 minutes remaining.

That sparked a remarkable finish with Neal Maupay converting a controversial spot kick for 2-2 after VAR found Micheal Keane inadvertently treading on Aaron Connolly’s foot in the box.

Everton misery was complete when Digne turned in a cross from substitute Leandro Trossard in the fifth minute of injury time to give Brighton victory.
