North London is ours… again: Photos from Spurs 0-1 Brighton

North London? Completed it mate. This set of photos from Spurs 0-1 Brighton show a second Albion win in the N-postcode in the space of seven days against a Tottenham side who had came into the game in rampant form.

Spurs had won five of their previous six matches, netting 21 times along the way. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min were scoring goals for fun as Antonio Conte had his team back into contention for a top four finish.

And then the Albion rocked up. Graham Potter devised a plan to nullify the threat posed by one of the most deadly strike duos in the Premier League.

Spurs could not muster a single shot on target as a result, paving the way for Leandro Trossard to win it as Brighton scored yet another late goal in the capital. What is it about that there London that Brighton love so much?

Brentford, Arsenal, Spurs and Watford (we are counting it because you can get there on the Underground) have all now been beaten on their own patch by the Albion this season.

Draws with Crystal Palace, West Ham United and European Champions Chelsea mean Brighton are undefeated in seven visits to London. The 15 points they have garnered matches their 2021-22 haul so far at the Amex, where they have played 16 times.

Spurs 0-1 Brighton was the most impressive performance and result of the lot, though. Probably of the entire season, in fact.

Not many sides visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and control proceedings as the Albion did. It was about as perfect an away performance as you get, delivered in glorious weather at one of the finest stadiums in the world.

Sometimes, it is not bad being a Seagulls supporters.
